What kind of photo works best?
A clear, well-lit, straight-on shot of the room. Empty or lightly furnished rooms stage best. JPG or PNG — the higher the resolution, the sharper the result. Avoid heavy filters, fisheye/wide-angle distortion, and dark or blurry images.
How long does it take, and where do results go?
Most photos finish in about a minute each. Every finished image is emailed to the address you enter, shown side-by-side with your original so you can see the difference. A full 5-photo batch can take several minutes to arrive.
Why did the AI add a window, or change a wall or fixture?
Our staging is powered by a generative AI model. Most of the time it only adds furniture and decor — but occasionally it will alter a background detail, such as adding a window to a blank wall or changing a fixture. This is a known limitation of today's AI, and we can't fully switch it off. So please compare every result against your original photo, and if something was changed, click Regenerate (free) in your email for a corrected version. Occasionally it works the other way and something real is left out — if a wall fixture such as a heater matters, tick This room is already empty when the room has no furniture, which skips the emptying step and keeps fixtures in place. Never publish an image that misrepresents the property.
What do the options do?

Can I ask for something specific — like "add a plant near the window"?
Yes. When staging a photo, use the Special instructions box to describe what you want — e.g. "add a plant in the corner near the window" or "remove the pinball machine and add a pool table." You’ll get the staged photo first, then a second email a couple of minutes later with your requested change applied. The room’s walls, windows and layout are always preserved automatically. A described change uses one extra edit credit. You can also request a change later from any result email via the Regenerate link.
The room is cluttered or already furnished — what do I do?
Staging looks best on an empty room. Run Declutter on the photo first, then submit that cleaned-up image again with Stage — two quick passes gets you a clean, freshly furnished result.
I have two angles of the same room — will the furniture match?
Not exactly. Each photo is staged on its own, so two angles come back in the same style and feel but may use different furniture (matching every piece across viewpoints isn't something AI staging can guarantee yet). Best practice: stage one strong "hero" angle per room, or accept a consistent style rather than identical pieces. For listings where exact matching is essential, ask us about designer-assisted staging.
Can I use these in my MLS listing?
Every finished image is watermarked ("Virtually Staged" or "Digitally Enhanced") and the email includes a disclaimer. Always follow your local MLS/board disclosure rules for edited or staged photos.
I don't love the result, or the AI changed something — can I redo it?
Yes, and it's free. Every staged result email has a "Regenerate (free)" button — click it and the AI creates a fresh version of the same room at no cost (up to 20 times per photo). Each render varies, so a second pass usually fixes an odd detail or gives you a different look. You can also resubmit the photo here with a different style.
My photo won't upload.
Make sure it's an image file (JPG or PNG). Very large files can be slow — try one under ~10 MB. If it fails, tap the upload box to try again, and check your connection.
